DOMINATION AT THE DERBY:
MANCHESTER UNITED 0-3 manchester City

THE MAIN EVENTS:
The Manchester Derby was a game of much anticipation for any of those that wore a blue shirt today, would it be another smash and grab for United? or would City get back to winning ways on Old Trafford soil after a controversial win for the reds over the Treble Winners in February.
The blues wasted no time in breaking the deadlock after constant bombardment for 20 minutes, Rasmus Hojlund brings Rodri down and after a lengthy VAR review, City were awarded a penalty.Erling Haaland of course took great pleasure in burying the ball into the bottom corner of the Stretford End and cupping his ears following United fans reportedly chanting 'Roy Keane' at him in the build-up towards the goal.
Ederson who had little to do in the first half, was soon brought into action after Josko Gvardiol was dispossesed by Bruno Fernandes and finds Scott McTominay who powers it at Ederson who performs a miraculous save miles off his line.
The 2nd goal came shortly after the teams kicked off as a delicious Bernardo Silva cross finds Erling Haaland who heads it into a near empty United net.
City weren't finished yet though, Rodri cuts inside and hits a left footed shot into the hands of Andre Onana but is parried into Erling Haaland who sets up Phil Foden to put the Derby to bed.

my thoughts: control from start to finish

In terms of City performances, i haven't seen such control since the obliteration of Real Madrid at the Etihad last season, our ability to win the ball back and pressing high up the pitch was the difference between us winning and losing today, honourable mentions go to Bernardo Silva and Jack Grealish.

WHAT NEXT: mAN CITY VS BOURNEMOUTH

Man City take on Bournemouth at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday 4th of November at 3PM GMT.
